From The Pastor's Heart From the Pastor's Heart is a daily devotional submitted by Pastor Campbell for the people of the world. On November 21, 2003, I discontinued the daily message: From the Pastor’s Heart. For five years we had shared these daily messages from my personal bible study. Last week I was in a Church Growth & Development Seminar in Jacksonville, Florida. While sharing the Prayer Lab on Thursday morning, the Lord brought this back to my attention. I believe now that this season has returned. So, you can expect daily – Monday thru Friday – a scripture and brief thought about that text. The bible I use daily – One Year Bible (Tyndale) – is the source of the daily thought. I invite you to share it with your friends. I invite you to e-mail me with any updated addresses or other information or even the names and addresses of those who would like to be included. In the meantime, my prayer is that you will be blessed as you join me in the reading of God’s Word on a daily basis.
Peace, Pastor William M. Campbell PPS – you can now join me on Facebook @ www.facebook.com/1PastorC in addition to www.twitter.com/1PastorC

July 30, 2010 (Daily Double) King Jotham became powerful because he was careful to live in obedience to the Lord his God. 2 Chronicles 27:6 NLT
True power is the ability to submit to the will of God. It takes more power to obey than to rebel. © 2010 William M. Campbell, Jr. PS – Have an obedient weekend! J | July 29, 2010 (Triple Threat) Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT
Just because everyone is doing it doesn’t make it right. The “new you” starts from the inside-out not from the outside-in. There’s only one will of God for your life; it just has at least three characteristics. © 2010 William M. Campbell, Jr.
| July 28, 2010 (Triple Play) Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years. No one was sorry when he died. They buried him in the City of David, but not in the royal cemetery. 2 Chronicles 21:20 NLT
If no one was sorry when you died, more than likely no one was glad while you lived. It should be “glad to see you born,” “sad to see you die.” Just because you were born a king or queen does not mean you will die a royal. © 2010 William M. Campbell, Jr. | July 27, 2010 (Daily Double) At the very moment they began to sing and give praise, the Lord caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. 2 Chronicles 20:22 NLT
The moment you release the Lord’s praise, the Lord will release your victory. Take your focus off the fight and put it on the Father. © 2010 William M. Campbell, Jr. | July 26, 2010 (Daily Double) A few years later he went to Samaria to visit Ahab, who prepared a great banquet for him and his officials. They butchered great numbers of sheep, goats, and cattle for the feast. Then Ahab enticed Jehoshaphat to join forces with him to recover Ramoth-gilead. 2 Chronicles 18:2 NLT
Be careful who you eat with; they may have another motive behind the meal. Want a glimpse into your future? Look at who’s across the meal table from you. © 2010 William M. Campbell, Jr. | July 23, 2010 (From Houston, TX) |
