Pastor's Update - April 16, 2010
Missionality Profile & More
April 16, 2010--ACAMEC
To the Members of the Church on the Hill…
Just a note to say “thank you” for helping to kick off the Missionality Profile on Wednesday night. Group B & C we are looking for you to join us on the next two Wednesdays. Group A will continue next week in the sanctuary. Members, we need you to complete the Mission Survey either online or in person in the fellowship hall immediately after the morning worship. If you have completed it online, we still need you to complete the “Consent Form.” Please see the members of the Lay Advisory Committee (LAC) on Sunday.
Tonight (sorry for the late notice) the Greater Vision Community Church will appreciate their pastor and our friend – The Reverend Dr. David G. Reynolds. You all know how much of a blessing he, Sister Reynolds and the Greater Vision family have been to us. If you desire to go – and you get this notice in time – please call me or the office to let us know of your desire. The dinner will be held at the Killeen Civic & Conference Center on W. S. Young. The tickets are $10 and you can pay at the door although we probably need to call in the number. The time is 7:00 PM.
Tomorrow morning at 0800 hours the Men of Valor will share in their monthly breakfast. MOV choir will rehears immediately afterward. Our uniform for Sunday is the black suits, white shirts and our new red tie set. The tie set may be obtained from Brother Felton on Saturday and even Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon will journey to share with Pastor Avis Washington and the St. Paul AME Church family in Hubbard, Texas. Formation is at 1400 hours. Please call the office to indicate your willingness to go. One van is already full. Others may need to drive their cars.
Don’t forget next Saturday, April 24th is our quarterly Super Saturday Empowerment Meetings. Leaders let’s be present in great numbers. We have a work to do.
I’m praying for you and hope to see you on Sunday. Sunday’s sermon: Can’t Quit Now!!!
Peace and blessings,
Pastor C
