Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty of their sin.

Leviticus 19:17 NLT

Hatred in your heart makes it more susceptible to attack.

Don’t carry others peoples’ sins around with you. The weight of your own is too much to bear.

Then Jesus left Galilee and went north to the region of Tyre.  He didn’t want anyone to know which house he was staying in, but he couldn’t keep it a secret.

Mark 7:24 NLT

Is there really something that Jesus could not do? He could not hide the power of His presence.

If the heavens declare the Lord’s glory, I imagine that it’s hard to contain it in a house.

He will lay both of his hands on the goat’s head and confess over it all the wickedness, rebellion, and sins of the people of Israel. In this way, he will transfer the people’s sins to the head of the goat. Then a man specially chosen for the task will drive the goat into the wilderness. As the goat goes into the wilderness, it will carry all the people’s sins upon itself into a desolate land.

Leviticus 16:21-22 NLT

An EFT – electronic funds transfer – can move money - in minutes - anywhere around the world.  An EST – eternal sins transfer – can move sin – in seconds - out of this world.

Have you made your transfer today? The Lord’s mercies are new every morning.

They were totally amazed, for they still didn’t understand the significance of the miracle of the loaves. Their hearts were too hard to take it in.

Mark 6:51b-52 NLT

Don’t let your heart be so hard that you can’t receive what your eyes have seen.

So the disciples went out, telling everyone they met to repent of their sins and turn to God.

Mark 6:12 NLT

Just imagine today if you told everyone you met about the saving grace of the Lord Jesus instead of the latest sports, news or gossip.

Then he added, “Pay close attention to what you hear. The closer you listen, the more understanding you will be given – and you will receive even more.”

Mark 4:24 NLT

The ears are always open while the mouth is not. That should tell you something.

Those with open ears are more prone to have open minds.

Remember, the fire must be kept burning on the altar at all times.  It must never go out.

Leviticus 6:13 NLT

Even at rest, we must have a burning passion for the things of God.

(Daily Double on Ash Wednesday)

But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

Mark 2:20 NLT

Guess what time it is? It’s fasting time.

The groom is gone but he will be back. But, in the meantime…

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I am willing,” he said. “Be healed!”

Mark 1:41 NLT

Jesus is still willing to touch if we want to be healed.

If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer.

Proverbs 9:12 NLT

The lessons taught by wisdom are so much easier to learn than those taught by foolishness.

I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity, rebellion and sin.

Exodus 34:7a NLT

God loves so much that he gives and forgives.

It’s easy to forgive someone you give a lot to.

Peter swore, “A curse on me if I’m lying – I don’t know the man!” And immediately the roster crowed.

Matthew 26:74 NLT

Maybe Peter was not lying…he really did not KNOW the man.

How many times in a day would a rooster crow in our lives?

The traitor, Judas, had given them a prearranged signal: “You will know which one to arrest when I greet him with a kiss.”

Matthew 26:48 NLT

The thing about traitors is that they have to be close enough to be friends.

Traitors are friends whose hearts are divided.

(Daily Double)

How great is the goodness you have stored up for those who fear you. You lavish it on those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world.

Psalm 31:19 NLT

The more reverence (fear) you have on your gift card, the more goodness you will receive from the store.

Say it with me: “watch and see how the Lord will bless me.”

Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had previously had leprosy.

Matthew 26:6 NLT

When Jesus shows up at your house, your condition will become “previous” and not “present.”

Sickness, infirmity and disease: one’s condition B.C. (before Christ). Healing, health and wholeness: one’s condition A.D. (after deliverance).

And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.  Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

Matthew 24:11-13 NLT

The salvation of your soul is not a sprint it is a marathon.

The last part of the race, like the last days, is the toughest part.

I pray to you, O Lord, my rock. Do not turn a deaf ear to me. For if you are silent I might as well give up and die.

Psalm 28:1 NLT

If the Lord hears me, the Lord may speak to me. If the Lord speaks to me, I will live.

If God has nothing to say about my life, there is nothing left for me to say about it.

Not only do I want to tell God all about it, I need God to tell me all about it.

A second is equally important: ‘Love you neighbor as yourself.’

Matthew 22:39 NLT

Before you can love your neighbor, you must learn to love yourself.

To just love your self alone is to be self-centered. To love others with that same love is be God-centered.

(Daily Double)

He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all his decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.”

Exodus 15:26 NLT

Why not give God’s health care plan a try?

The premiums are affordable for everyone and the benefits are unlimited.

So the people of Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side!

Exodus 14:22 NLT

Today, the Lord is going to open up a way where no one could humanly exist.

God takes us through routes that are not on the map and are impossible to duplicate.
