Memorial Day Message
May 2010
May 29, 2010--ACAMEC

To the Members of the Church on the Hill…

Once again we come into another Memorial Day Weekend. We are thankful for the men and women who have laid down their lives in service to their country. Because of their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of our veterans, we enjoy the freedoms which we all too often take for granted. We remember the families of the fallen, especially those 13 who died in the November 2009 Fort Hood tragedy. May God continue to bless and comfort this nation.

Thank you for sharing in benevolence for the home going service Mother Yvonne Kawimbe, the wife of Bishop Paul J. M. Kawimbe. Mother Kawimbe was laid to rest this past Tuesday, May 25th in Lusaka, Zambia. We were able to help Pastor Moses Achola from Kenya to attend and give witness to our support of the bishop and his family.

As a reminder, we will once again be blessed by the ministry of the Reverend Anthony Vinson, Sr.  The Cathedral Mass Choir will again minister on Sunday, May 30, 2010 in the morning worship. The worship service will be led by our wonderful Women’s Missionary Society.

Please note that tomorrow’s rehearsal schedule is Saturday, May 29, 2010 @ 1:00 PM. Choir members are kindly asked to enter the building through the MAIN SANCTUARY DOORS. The rest of the building is being used by the Northwest Texas Annual Conference Board of Examiners.  Please be prompt, present and prepared to minister unto the Lord.

Pray for the move of the Spirit – the wind. The message: Gone With the Wind.

Peace and blessings.
