To the Members of the Church on the Hill…

With a heart of appreciation and gratitude we announce the promotion of our own brother Jeremiah Jones. Bro. “Jerry” has recently been offered and has accepted a position as the Assistant Professor of Music at Southern University in Baton Rouge, LA.  What a great opportunity to move to the next level! God has indeed opened a great door.

Bro Jeremiah Jones

Music & Worship Arts Ministry

His nearly five years of service has seen the development of the Music & Worship Arts Ministry consisting of five (5) choirs and the recently launched School of Music. We are so thankful to the Lord for sending him to us for this season. The Lord did indeed use him to bless the ministry.

So with joy, we will send him off on this coming Sunday, January 31st in “good ole Anderson Chapel” fashion. We will share our love during the morning worship and then a joy-filled celebration will follow immediately after the morning worship in the Fellowship Hall.  The reception is coordinated by the Music & Worship Arts Ministry.

For members of the Music & Worship Arts Ministry, there will be a Special Transition Meeting on Saturday, January 30, 2010 @ 12 NOON immediately after the Official Board meeting. We are asking all members of all choirs to kindly be present to hear the transition plan and prepare for the 1st Sunday worship celebration. The meeting & rehearsal will last for 75-90 minutes maximum. Members please come on time!!

Hope to see you on Sunday as we come to the close of the first month of the year. This is your last Sunday to sow your FIRST FRUITS in the FIRST month of the New Year! Put your seed in the ground and watch God work.

Peace and blessings. Sunday’s sermon:
